It seems that the theme of the banquet this year was great things happening in Hall County. We introduced a new dressage schooling show series at Chicopee Woods Ag Center hosted by LEA Friends (LEAF) starting with their first show March 16th. In addition to the already established Oxer Farm dressage and CT series there will now be 3 three-phase competitions instead of 2. The Oxer shows start on April 13th. Holly Valley Equestrian Center will be expanding their dates to 6 to create a hunter-jumper schooling show series with their first show on March 9th. AND we had our banquet at the new North Hall Park's Community Center. It is a wonderful venue!
So all year end award will be revamped for this 2013 year - LEAF, Oxer, and Holly Valley will have series awards for their divisions. They will be presented at the LEA Banquet. So NO year end awards from LEA for dressage, CT or hunter/jumpers. We will continue to offer dressage scholar and master medals, low Ct score medals, gymkhana awards, and Equitation Medals perpetual trophies. We are also working on getting perpetual trophies for highest scores in intro, training, first, higher levels, rider's test, outside of the box (musical freestyle, pas de deux, quadrille), and lowest score amoeba, tadpole, and beginner novice. We have 1 Ct and 4 dressage trophies already sponsored so hopefully we will get them all covered before the year is over. We will still be presenting rider's medals from the horsemanship testing when we can get qualified riders to test (maybe a goal to set for 2013?) as well as the scholarships that go with them. Our Gymkhana awards scores will come from our two fun shows this year - the LEA Games and the Christmas Fun Show.
Make sure you have checked out the minimum requirements in each series prize list so you don't miss out on winning any of these wonderful awards! All info or links to info about the shows and entry forms can be either found on the LEA Calendar.
Congratulations to all of our award recipients, it is an honor and pleasure to recognize your hard work!
And a huge THANK YOU to all those who donated silent auction and door prize items for the banquet. We were able to raise over $1100.00 and offer a lot of prizes to those who attended. It was an exciting evening!
The money will be used to fund the banquet and for the Horsemanship program scholarships.
