2014 has started out with great momentum! All the LEAF, Oxer Farm, and Holly Valley Equestrian Center shows have been well attended, well run, and had some really good rides at them. Next on our plate is the much anticipated LEA Games. If you aren't familiar with it, this is our "party to ourselves" show. Its members only because we keep show fees to a bare minimum. The goal is to have fun, build skills, and enjoy a team environment.

Everyone is encouraged to form teams for this show, the minimum number is 3 for a team. There is no maximum, but to make it more fun, it would be great to split them up if you have large teams. The more teams, the more varied the results become. This show is based on an Olympics format and there are different areas to compete in: dressage, jumpers, gymkhana, and this year we are adding a 2 phase CT division (Please be award though if you sign up for Ct that this is a 2 day show and all jumping is on Sunday).

Awards are tiny ribbons for first through fourth and medals for the top 3. You get awards for individual results as well as team totals in each discipline and there is the grand prize of top team which goes to the team with the most points at the end of the competition from all disciplines combined.

There are also Escapades (freestyles, quadrilles, etc.) that can give your team extra points if you participate.

We hope that everyone will embrace the spirit of this show to have fun! Coordinate team colors, names, country that you are representing (real or imaginary). Put together an escapade, the only rule is that it must look fairly safe and not go longer than 5 minutes. These are always the highlight of the show and we are planning to do them as a "feature event" on Saturday evening if we have enough interest.

Check for entry forms on the calendar.

Also on the calendar, you will find the mid year standings for the LEAF dressage series and for the LEA Perpetual trophies for dressage. Thanks to all who have supported our shows and good luck at the remaining ones!!!
