What a great finish to the 2013 LEA competition year!

We had a record crowd show up and we gave out a record amount of awards! It was the first year for the combined awards of LEA Friends, Oxer Farm, and Holly Valley Equestrian Center all combined with the LEA awards for excellence. Those awards were the usual Horsemanship Scholar and Master medals for single high dressage scores and low ct scores and the Perpetual trophy winners from the fall hunter equitation medal finals. In addition, there were new perpetual trophies offered for high dressage score averages for Intro adult - sponsored by Julie Cochran Dressage, Intro junior rider - sponsored by Post Oak Equestrian Center, Training level - sponsored by Honeysuckle Hills Farm, First Level - sponsored by Greythorne Farm, and the Higher levels (second level and above) - sponsored by Four Shoes Farm. And there was a Low Ct average score perpetual trophy sponsored by Oxer Farm.

To top all of this greatestness off, an endowment was given by an anonymous donor to a top student. It was determined by the students work ethic, attitude, and desire. The funding can be used for education or showing. The winner was Keri-lyn Thomas.

Perpetual trophy winners were: Intro Adult - Ann Browning on Bewitched with a 64.710, Intro Junior - Keri-lyn Thomas on Fancy with a 64.500, Training Level - Emily Pink on Capital Call with a 65.830, First Level - Naida Ann Mirza on Sterling with a 62.520, and Higher Levels - Dana Ferguson on Divinity with a 62.570. The Oxer Farm Low Ct trophy was won by Annelise Lance on Koda. Many thanks to the trophy sponsors who make it possible to reward our top scoring riders!

There was a wonderful collection of door prizes and silent auction items! We were able to raise enough money to fund the banquet and still have a little left over! Thanks so much to all of you who contributed AND to all the volunteers who helped put this together.

We are looking forward to another productive and exciting year of showing, learning, and fellowship.
